UX / Web Design Case Study
Designing a trust-first marketing website for a life coaching practice ready to grow beyond social media.
The Problem
Purpose Anchored was building real momentum on Instagram and through word of mouth — but had nowhere to send people who wanted to learn more. Booking required back-and-forth DMs. Trust was hard to establish. Growth had a ceiling.
Users wanted reassurance and clarity before committing. The business needed a scalable way to convert interest into booked sessions. Without a website, both were stuck.
Research & Discovery
Rather than formal academic research, I focused on lightweight, practical methods suited to the scope and timeline of the project.
Analyzed top-performing life coaching and wellness websites for patterns in trust-building and conversion. Successful sites lead with clear positioning, calm visual language, and transparent service explanations.
Reviewed Purpose Anchored's Instagram content and tone to ensure the website felt like a natural extension of what already existed — familiar, warm, and human.
Clients value emotional safety as much as credentials. Overly complex sites increase cognitive load and reduce trust — the opposite of what a coaching client needs to feel before booking.
The biggest barrier to booking wasn't pricing or availability — it was uncertainty. Removing that uncertainty was the entire job of the design.
UX Strategy
The core UX goal was to answer three questions every visitor was silently asking the moment they landed on the site.
Clear positioning above the fold with language that speaks directly to someone in survival mode seeking clarity and support.
Testimonials, a warm photo, and plain language copy over coaching jargon to create immediate human connection.
A single clear CTA at every natural decision point. No competing actions, no confusion about the next step.
Guide users gently toward booking. No pressure, no clutter. Reflect the calm, grounded nature of the coaching experience itself.
Design Execution
Instead of a vague welcome message, the hero immediately states who the service is for, communicates the transformation, and shows how to book. Reduced friction for first-time visitors.
Messaging emphasizes support, alignment, and forward movement rather than positioning coaching as a "fix." This matched the emotional state of users arriving at the site.
Services are introduced briefly on the homepage and expanded in dedicated sections. Users can self-educate before committing, which reduces pressure and increases qualified bookings.
A calm, trust-first website that converts visitors into booked clients — without pressure, noise, or friction.
Outcome & Impact
Within the first month after launch, Purpose Anchored saw a significant shift in how potential clients engaged with the business.
What's Next
With a strong foundation in place, the logical next phase would focus on growth, optimization, and retention.
Every great project begins with a conversation.
